We recently launched a new website for technical communications project staffing firm Steyer Associates. Check it out and let us know what you think.
Steyer has been serving one of Seattle’s largest technology companies (guess who!?) for over a decade with expert technical communications staff (think technical writers, editors, program managers, content developers, etc…for things like software development kits, help guides, user instructions and such!). They came to us after an engagement with a marketing agency that focused specifically on staffing firms didn’t work out.

We worked closely with the Steyer team to develop the site’s content, as well as to design and produce the site.
Guess they liked us enough as we are now deep into development and execution of a targeted account campaign. You’ll have to stay tuned for more on the campaign. Hint: it involves space food and a real live Mission to Mars networking event!

AdAge has a story that describes Target’s ongoing troubles attached to its brand new website. Apparently, someone at Target thought it would be a great idea to build a new online presence by leveraging some twenty+ vendors. And then managing them independently. So the tech team hired SapientNitro to act as partner and lead integrator while the marketing team hired Interpublic’s Huge to design and presumably build the site. Toss in another truck load of vendors (like IBM, Infosys, and Endeca) and a crap load of cash and all I can think of is:
“Boy, despite the cruddy economy there sure are a lot of companies out there that are run by clueless management without a care in the world for their screwed up work.”
I mean, if it was my company and my money, I’d sure be unhappy (paraphrased to protect the kids that visit this blog). But more often than not these clowns get away with this kind of behavior. Where do I go to sign up?

Google wants you to know that their popular AdWords program has greater capabilities than you may think. Sure, it started with just a few lines of text. But the company has quietly evolved the platform over the past two years and now supports ads that include embedded location information, multimedia, and (of course) +1 support. Google’s VP of Product Management, Nick Fox, blogged about the shiny new ad improvements.
